What Can These Funds Help With?
- Housing & Utilities: Rent/mortgage assistance to prevent eviction or foreclosure, utilities (electric, water, sewer, trash, propane, firewood, phone, internet), solar/generator repair
- Emergency Needs: Car repairs (for work/medical), uncovered medical/dental bills, appliance repairs (repairs only)
- Mental Health: Trauma-informed therapy/counseling (licensed CO therapists, not VA/Vet Center)
- Food & Fuel: Grocery gift cards (up to $50), gas cards or emergency transport (with documentation)
Eligibility – What You’ll Need
- DD-214 or proof of service (any discharge except dishonorable)
- Proof of residency in Custer County or surrounding area
- Documentation of hardship (e.g. bills, repair estimates, SNAP denial)
- Minimal paperwork—streamlined process
